Lexus has unveiled the all-new GS sedan

Lexus has unveiled the all-new GS sedan at this year's Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. The fourth generation of the company's mid-size offering, which was initially designed by Giugiaro in 1990.

Lexus says the new car brings ‘a more engaging driving experience, bolder design and a more spacious, contemporary interior'. It is claimed to express a new generation of Lexus' design philosophy. The front end wears a new ‘spindle' grille with trapezoidal contours, which is said to be a signature feature of future Lexus models, while the rear end features a host of aerodynamic improvements.

With an increased track width of 40mm at the front and 50mm at the rear, the new GS's exterior dimensions have been virtually unchanged from the current generation, but the company claims improved interior space with ‘a balance of luxury, technological amenity and emotional design'. High quality materials, ambient lighting and a host of entertainment and connectivity enhancements round out the package.
