David Russel likes old cars. And strange ones.
For years, he owned Citroens, those strange French cars that had front-wheel-drive long before it came to the USA.
Looking around for something new, Russel, from Mountain View, Calif., was visiting the Czech Republic and made a point of visiting the museum for the auto brand Tatra. He was hooked. He found an old 1951 Tatra T-600 in Illinois and loves it, even though it has a Volkswagen engine, rather than the original.
He showed off his Tatra over the weekend at the Concours d'LeMons, a show for odd cars in Seaside, Calif., not far from the Concours d'Elegance in Carmel, Calif.
